One Skool, Two Communities: Our New Learning Hubs

Over the past few weeks, we've been quietly working behind the scenes on something big.

We’re excited to officially announce the launch of our two Skool communities!

For those unfamiliar, Skool—with a "K"—is one of the fastest-growing education platforms online. We’re thrilled to have chosen it as our new home for learning, alongside the Pixelhaze Academy website, for the months and years to come.

As we’ve been familiarizing ourselves with the system, one question kept popping up: How can we best serve our wide range of students? The answer we settled on was to create not just one but two communities, each designed to cater to different needs and budgets. These communities offer varying levels of coaching and instruction, ensuring everyone can find a fit that works for them.

A Bit of Background

I've been in the web design game for over twenty years. My journey started in the mid-90s, when I built my first websites with Microsoft Publisher, then progressed to HTML, Dreamweaver, WordPress, and Squarespace. About ten years ago, I fully embraced Squarespace, building a strong relationship with the platform and becoming one of just 200 Squarespace Authorized Trainers.

At Pixelhaze Studio, we’ve built over 400 websites on Squarespace. Along the way, I developed a system that helps designers—whether seasoned pros or those transitioning into the field—create websites without needing to code. This system covers everything from planning and wireframing to SEO and ongoing management, making the process smoother and more efficient.

To make things even faster and more streamlined, we introduced tools like our Pre-Flight Checklist and SquareForge, a rapid template builder for Squarespace. These tools allow us to build professional websites in as little as half a day!

In 2019, I launched Pixelhaze Academy to share this knowledge with educational institutions and small businesses. Our mission? To debunk the myths around website builders and prove that they can be just as professional as custom-built sites. Since then, we’ve been working with schools, colleges, universities, and businesses across Wales, and now, we’re ready to take our approach global.

Why Skool Communities?

Education is shifting towards community-based learning, and we’re embracing that change. While we’ll continue to offer courses on platforms like Udemy and our own Pixelhaze Academy, we felt that a dedicated community on Skool was the perfect next step.

Our two communities are now live, and here’s a sneak peek at what each one offers:

  1. Website Builders Community: This community is ideal for those who want to go it alone or need a more budget-friendly option. Members can check in with us weekly, ask questions, access course content, request new materials, and share their designs for feedback. It’s a supportive space where you can grow at your own pace.

  2. Pixelhaze Community: This is where things ramp up. In addition to everything offered in the Website Builders Community, members get access to our Moonshot transformational program, personalized development plans, weekly live workshops on Zoom, and SquareForge. At $97 per month, it’s a comprehensive package that offers incredible value for anyone serious about web design.

We’ve also developed a range of Pixelhaze Personas based on the thousands of clients and students we've worked with over the years. Whether you're a seasoned designer looking to expand your services (like "Freelance Fiona") or someone ready for a career change ("Career Change Colin"), we've got tailored content and support just for you.

Why Community Coaching?

Our early trials found that community coaching can sometimes produce even better results than one-on-one tuition. Why? Because you’re not just learning from us—you’re learning alongside others on the same journey. The shared experience, advice, and support from fellow students can be invaluable.

So, whatever your budget or goals—whether you're looking for a flexible, dip-in-and-out approach or a structured plan to keep you on track—we’re confident we have a community that fits your needs.

Thanks for supporting Pixelhaze Academy and helping us reach this milestone. We’re excited to take the next steps with you!
