Why we use JotForm instead of Squarespace Forms
The Squarespace Form tool is a sleek and simple form builder fully integrated into the Squarespace platform.
This makes it a convenient and seamless option for users who are already using Squarespace, however, this integration does come at the cost of some noticeable limitations. When these limitations become an issue, we switch our focus to JotForm.
One of the critical differences between JotForm and Squarespace Forms is the ability to allow file uploads. While JotForm offers the option to include file upload fields in your forms, allowing users to attach documents or other files as part of their submission, Squarespace Forms does not currently offer this capability.
This lack of file upload capability can be a significant limitation for some users of Squarespace Forms. For example, if you are using a form to collect job applications, you may want to allow applicants to attach their CVs or cover letters as part of their submission. Similarly, if you are using a form for customer feedback or support requests, you may want to allow users to attach relevant documents or images to help illustrate their issue. Without the ability to include file upload fields, Squarespace Forms may not be the best option for these types of scenarios.
On the other hand, JotForm offers a range of file upload field options, including the ability to set file size limits and accept a variety of file types. This makes it a much more flexible and versatile platform for users who need the ability to allow file uploads as part of their online forms.
